Troubleshooting

App won't connect to my OpenClaw agent

Check the URL you entered during setup is correct and that OpenClaw is running. Log out and log back in to update the URL.

No audio / Ash isn't speaking

On Windows, make sure ffplay is installed (part of ffmpeg — download at ffmpeg.org). On Mac, no extra software is needed. Check your system volume and audio output device in System Settings. Try restarting Wingsy. If the issue persists, check that your Cartesia API key is valid at cartesia.ai.

Avatar not loading

If your custom avatar fails to load, Wingsy will fall back to the default avatar. Check your .vrm file is valid.

Mac says Wingsy is damaged and can't be opened

This is a macOS security warning for apps from unidentified developers. Wingsy is safe to run. To fix it, open Terminal and run: xattr -cr /Applications/Wingsy.app Then try opening Wingsy again.

Can't reach OpenClaw on a remote server?

If your OpenClaw runs on a VPS or remote machine, you'll need Tailscale to connect securely. Download it at tailscale.com, add both machines to your network, and use your Tailscale IP as the OpenClaw URL during Wingsy setup.
